It’s Time to balance our Inner and Outer Worlds!
It’s Time to balance our Inner and Outer Worlds!
What does that mean?
We all have an Inner World of Receptive Feminine Energy and an Outer World of Active Masculine Energy. Before you get confused, we are not talking about men and women; we are working with attributes classically labeled masculine and feminine.
The Inner World contains your Pure Sense Knowing that you access through your intuition and attention to your inner wisdom. This information comes as you connect to the natural, organic information that Earth Consciousness offers.
The Outer World contains information you have learned through your experience in the 3D world and from information given to you by authority figures and persons of influence in your life.
Both of these worlds are important! Both are an integral part of being human. Neither, by itself, represents the whole person.
I’ve noticed in myself and others that we tend to operate in one world or the other, but often are unable to combine these worlds into one cohesive way of living. For example:
You find yourself in a very calm center from which you feel loved and express love. You are able to sense what you and others are feeling. Your compassion runs deep and your understanding of when to help and when to stand back are very present. (This is your Feminine Inner World)
Suddenly, you remember that you have an upcoming appointment. You were into your Inner World and lost track of your schedule and the time. Anxiety courses through your body as you hurry to the appointment. You berate yourself for not getting there on time. (This is your Masculine Outer World)
————————————————————————————————-
You have a task list that you have been successfully doing with great clarity and energy. The accomplishment feels good. You delegated some of the tasks to others in a very forceful tone so you were able to accomplish even more.(This is your Masculine Outer World)
You notice that your assistant Sally is crying. You flip your attention into your Inner World. You go to Sally and in a compassionate voice, you ask what’s wrong. Sally says her brother is in intensive care. She apologizes saying she’s sorry she was not able to put her attention to the tasks she had been given. You suggest that she leave immediately and go to her brother. You assure her that you will take care of the tasks. You realize that you were so focused on accomplishing tasks that your inner sensing ability was unable to reach you.
This is the dilemma. How do you bring together these worlds so that both are available for you to use and give your attention to? How can they work in tandem with each other?
Understanding and recognizing these worlds even as they are separate is a good place to start.
You can learn about your Inner World by sensing where it is in your body and energy field, asking that world to tell you about itself, and then feeling the energy of it.
Do the same for the Outer World. Recognize where you feel that energy in your body and energy field. Ask the consciousness of that world to tell you about itself. Feel its energy and notice the difference between both energies.
Once the qualities and ways of operating in each world become clear, you will be able to see how you seem to live in one world at a time. If you feel they operate easily together, celebrate that.
The final step is to introduce these worlds to each other. Each world has a very different energy. Each has an important part to play in your life. As they get to know each other and appreciate each other’s unique qualities there is an opening for a deep connection between them. It’s a bit like marrying your other half.
Notice the Tao symbol below. Half of it is black and the other white. Within the black is a dot of white and within the white is a dot of black. This symbolizes how the feminine receptive and masculine active energies can work together. Knowing this and taking the steps toward a greater connection with each other is the beginning of a relationship between your Inner and Outer Worlds.
Truly living this connection takes time and attention. Oh, and also patience. The key is to stop yourself when you notice that you are doing life from only one side. Ask both your Inner and Outer Worlds to work together. Pay attention; know and feel the difference when finally both worlds are aware and active in every part of your life.
